Concrete Cutting

A composite construction material composed of cement and other materials, concrete solidifies and hardens after mixing with water, which reacts with the cement to bond the components together. Its robust, stone-like properties make it ideal for all kinds of permanent structure and account for the fact that concrete is used more than any other man-made material in the world.

While its strength is a great advantage in construction, it poses problems when parts of it need to be removed. This might be to create door, window and stairway openings in new buildings or to assist in refurbishment or demolition projects.

For cutting concrete, hydroblasting is an efficient alternative to traditional methods such as jackhammers and large-wheel saws. The technology allows concrete of almost any thickness to be cut through cleanly and quickly, with no damage to steel reinforcements and minimal dust. With TJ Hydroblasting able to carry out cutting work up to 100 metres from the feed vehicle, even projects with restricted access - such as second floors - can be completed with ease.

Less safe, more speed?
